It has been a difficult year , that much is true. Not for lack of effort, but often in spite of it.
We are conditioned to look for results, to measure worth by outcomes. Yet there are seasons when effort does not immediately translate into visible progress. That does not make the work meaningless.
Sometimes good results arrive because the conditions are kind. When the macros are on our side, growth feels effortless. When they are not, simply holding ground, or making small progress, is already an achievement.
Of course, there is always room to do more and to do better. Wanting to grow is natural. But growth that comes at the expense of oneself is not sustainable.Before looking ahead, it is worth pausing.
To acknowledge the discipline, the resilience, the showing up, even when the results were absent. If we don’t recognise that in ourselves, who will?
So slow down.
Take a breath.
Stay calm.
And wait patiently for the next wave.
